Thoughts

It's not just a simple electronic recording of reality. Each image has it's own reason for being, it's own identity, and each represents some part of my identity as a human being. Why did I take it? What did I feel? What does it mean?

In today's world where everything is judged according to pre-defined concepts that lack imagination and where society's concept of the 'individual' is as an 'economic factor of production', art represents one of the last unquantifiable domains of personal identity. The act of creative expression is as fundamental to a human beings existence as food, water and breathing. Without it we might as well consider ourselves dead or only going through the motions of life without experiencing it.

My work takes me back to a time and place where as a child we approach the world around us without any pre-conceptions and a unjaded innocence. Where everything good or bad had a sense of wonder, curiosity and fascination. The main motive for my work is to preserve my sanity, not economic and not to seek the approval of others due to personal insecurities.

I hope you enjoy this website.
